Thought Partner for
Child-Centered Work

I care deeply about children — and about the people who care for them.

I’ve spent years working closely with children, families, and caregivers as an Early Childhood Educator. Through that work, I’ve developed strong opinions, a clear philosophy, and a steady passion for supporting the adults who shape children’s lives every day.

This website is a place to get a sense of who I am professionally, how I think about children and caregiving, and how we might work together if it feels like a fit.

I offer guidance for parents, caregivers, and educators — whenever you want to talk it through, think it through & keep going with clarity.

If you’re curious to talk, you’re welcome to reach out.

About Sheila

Hello! I’m Sheila Wahezi, an early childhood educator, parent coach, and consultant.

With a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and an M.S. in Early Childhood Education from CSUEB, I bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to my caregiving approach.

Since 2018, I've worked closely with children in various capacities:

  • Registered Behavior Technician: Supported children on the Autism Spectrum, enhancing my understanding of individualized care.

  • Preschool Teacher (2019–2025): Six years of classroom experience with children aged 0-5, fostering development through play and structured learning. I am a previous GeoKids educator and so much of my work is reflective of their program.

My commitment to professional growth includes:

How I think about children and caregiving

I believe:

  • children are full humans, not projects to manage

  • behavior is communication, not a problem to eliminate

  • adults deserve just as much care, reflection, and support as children do

  • sustainable caregiving depends on self-awareness, not perfection

  • relationships matter more than techniques

I’m less interested in rigid systems and more interested in helping people think clearly, respond intentionally, and trust themselves.

Who tends to enjoy this work

Working with me tends to resonate with people who:

  • work closely with children and care deeply about doing it well

  • enjoy reflection and conversation

  • want perspective rather than prescriptions

  • are curious about their own patterns and responses

If you’re looking for step-by-step instructions or a highly structured system, this probably won’t be your thing — and that’s okay.
